        THE PORTLAND SHOT     2nd Game Against the Lakers Photo from: The SportsRush                  By: Nate Smetana The Blazers had a game today against the Lakers.  After the first quarter the Blazers were winning 29-24.  After the first half the Blazers were winning 57-54.  Lillard was the best player in the first half with 24 points and 4 assists.  After 3 quarters the Blazers are losing by 9.  They needed a comeback in the 4th quarter to win the game.  At the end the Blazers lost 102-93. Unfortunately, the Blazers' comeback didn't succeed. Hopefully the Blazers will play good in their next game against the Hornets.  PLEASE FOLLOW!

   THE PORTLAND SHOT The Blazers game vs the Suns                 By: Nate Smetana Photo from: Brand: Aminco      The Blazers had a disappointing game today against the Suns.   After the first quarter the Blazers were losing 32-26.  Also,  Robert Covington got slapped in the face.  He slowly walked off the court and into the locker room. Additionally,  Lillard twisted his ankle, but didn’t leave the court.  At the end of the first half the Suns were leading 63-54.  Luckily, Robert Covington came back into the game.  The best player of the first half was Damian Lillard.  He had 16  points and 5 assists.  After the third quarter the Suns were blowing out the Blazers by 21.  In the end, the Blazers lost by 32 points.                                       THE PORTLAND SHOT                    The NBA all star starters for the west.                               Photo from:  Creator: SL  | Credit: Getty Images                                                  By:Nate Smetana          The All Star game has been around for 70 years.   Each year fans get to vote for their favorite players and the winners are allowed to play in the All Star game.  This year the players with the most votes get to start the game. The fans messed up.  For absolutely no reason Damian Lillard was outvoted by Luka Donic and Steph (air ball) Curry.  Luka Donic even admitted that Lillard should start instead of him.   Multiple sports reporters got mad about Logo Lillard not getting picked.  Recently Steph (air ball) Curry got hurt before his Charlotte game which might give Lillard the starting role in the All Star game.  Hopefully, Steph isn't too badly hurt, however Blazer fans wouldn’t mind if he missed the All Star game.   

         THE PORTLAND SHOT Final game vs the Wizards                       Photo from : USA TODAY Sportsbook Wire   By: Nate Smetana The Blazers battled  the Wizards at home.  Washington won the tip-off and the game began.  The first quarter ended with the Blazers leading by 12.  My favorite player this quarter was Carmelo Anthony.  He had an amazing four point play also with another three pointer.  As the first half ended one of the Blazers was better than everyone else.  My favorite player this half was Damian Lillard with 6 assists and 6 points.  The 2nd quarter was terrible for Portland, only scoring 12 points.  After the 3rd quarter Lillard was spectacular.  He had 23 points with an amazing shot from half court to take the lead for Portland.  The game ended sadly with the Washington Wizards beating the Portland Trail Blazers by 7.

  THE PORTLAND SHOT P hoto from: Creator: Abbie Parr  Credit: Getty Images  Copyright: 2020 Abbie Parr Possible McCollom Trade By: Nate Smetana There are a lot of possible McCollom trades that could benefit the Blazers.   A lot of teams are desperate for a good team shooter.  Here are a few of my favorite possible trades.  Caris Levert:  Caris Levert is a great young player who can take his team to the Playoffs all on his own.  He has a lot of potential and it could benefit Indiana after they lost Victor Olapido. Branden Ingram:  Branden Ingram would be a great addition for Portland because we could use some help on defense.  This would be helpful for the Pelicans because McCollom could really help the Pelicans in shooting and assisting. Domantas Sabonis:  What is better than just Sabonis?  Sabonis with his son!  This would be amazing because he can rotate with Nurkic and Kanter. Those are three of my favorite possible trades for C.J McCollom.

  THE PORTLAND  SHOT By:  Nate Smetana           Photo from SportsLogos.Net News - Chris Creamer's Sports Logos Portland Trail Blazers Right now the Blazers are one third through the season and in the fourth spot in the Western Conference.  Damian Lillard is leading the team in points and assists.  He already has two buzzer beaters this season.  The Blazers have a bright future hopefully deep in the playoffs.  The big challenge for Portland is they are having a lot of injuries.  Jusuf Nurkic is injured and C.J McCollom is also injured.  I actually think the Blazers are better without McCollom.  If you disagree, think about this.  They are 10-5 without him and only 8-5 with him.  Even if he has one great game once in awhile he isn’t steady.  One game he will have 35 next he will have 5.  Nurkic is needed because without him they don’t have enough size to compete with better teams.  Currently, Enes Kanter is doing a great job with filling in for him.  The Blazers are doing amazing
