PORTLAND SHOT Final game vs Orlando and Norman Powells                                    debut                                                     photo from: NBC Sports                       By: Nate Smetana  Yesterday the Blazers had an exciting game against the Orlando Magic.  Lillard wasn’t playing, Nurkic returned from his injury ,and Norman Powell was “magical.”  After the first quarter the Blazers had a decent start winning 35-32.  By Halftime the Blazers were winning 65-55.  My spotlight of the half was Norman Powell who at this point in the game was playing amazing.  After the 3rd quarter the Blazers' lead had shrunk and turned into a close 3 point game.  The Blazers eventually won the game 112-105.  Hopefully Norman Powell will have another above average game against his former team, the Toronto Raptors.  PLEASE FOLLOW MY BLOG.

Game vs Pelicans

PORTLAND SHOT                         Game vs Pelicans Photo from: CBS Sports By:  Nate Smetana Yesterday the Blazers had a jaw dropping game against the Pelicans.  This was McCollom's first game after his long injury.  For McCollom to be a necessary player, the Blazers had to win by two or more points, but they didn't. I am comparing this game to another game earlier in the season against the Pelicans. After the first quarter, the Blazers were losing 34-28.  McCollom only had 8 points and Lillard had a nice 11 points only after the first quarter.  After the first half the Blazers were losing 64-50.  So far McCollom wasn’t playing too well.  My spotlight of the first half was Damian Lillard with 19 points and 5 assists.  After the 3rd quarter the Blazers were losing 95-82.  In the final 6 minutes Lillard led a spectacular comeback to steal the win from the pelicans.  Lillard had a stunning game with 50 points and ten assists.  Hopefully the

PORTLAND SHOT               Game 2 vs Minnesota         By: Nate Smetana                                    Photo from: Sportscasting      Today Portland had a game vs the Timberwolves.  In the first few minutes of the game Kanter was already starting to take over.  After the first quarter the Blazers were winning 33-24.  Kanter already had 12 points.  After the first half the Blazers were winning 66-57.  It was a battle of free throws.  There were an amazing amount of free throws in the first half.  The spotlight of the first half is Enes Kanter with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and an assist.  The Blazers needed to hold their lead to win.  After the third quarter the Blazers blew their lead and were losing 94-93.  Hopefully they could make a comeback and win the game.  After four minutes in the fourth quarter Carmelo Anthony passed Hakeem The Dream for the 11th spot on the all time scoring list. The Blazers eventually took the win 125-121.  It was great to see Carm

THE PORTLAND SHOT                       Portland Trail Blazers and Aldridge          By: Nate Smetana                              Photo from: WOAI      A lot of people think Lamarcus could make a return to Portland.  Personally,  I think he shouldn’t come to Portland unless we can trade someone for him that isn't very good. Maybe we could trade Zach Collins or Enes Kanter and a 2nd rounder for him.  I am not saying Lamarcus Aldrige is a terrible player, I am just saying he is not as valuable as the first time he was with Portland.  He is starting to become an older player and he is not as fast as he used to be.  If  we do get him he would hopefully play well with Lillard because he already knows their system.  It is hard to tell if he is even as good as Kanter.  He is definitely better than Collins who gets injured every year so that would be good for Portland.  Kanter is definitely a needed player for Lillard because he always reboun

PORTLAND SHOT Rematch vs Suns                                       Photo from: ClutchPoints                          By: Nate Smetana Today the Blazers got another chance to play against the Suns after their 32 point loss to them earlier in the season.  After the first quarter the Blazers were winning by three which is a great improvement compared to the last game against the Suns.  After the first half the game was tied 60-60.  Everyone was playing good for Portland.  The spotlight of the half was the Blazers wearing their new grey jerseys.  They looked amazing on every player.  After the 3rd quarter the Blazers were winning 94-90.  Hopefully the Blazers could hold their lead.  Long story short they didn’t.  They lost 127-121.  Gary Trent Jr got a buzzer beater, but no one cared because it was already unreachable for Portland. This was the first loss after the All Star break.  Hopefully they can beat Minnesota next game.  PLEASE FOLLOW MY BLOG!

THE PORTLAND SHOT       3-Point contetest photo from: DraftKings ation By: Nate Smetana The f irst player in the contest was Jaylen Brown.  He got 17 which is pretty bad.  Next was Jayson Tatum.  He ended with an AMAZING 25.  Next was Zach Lavine.  He got a decent 23.  After that was Mike Conly.  He got a really good 24.  Next was Donnavan Mithchell.  He almost got eliminated with 22.  After that was Steph the Chef.  He got a 31.  HE IS STILL NOT THAT GOOD.  Mike Conly, Jayson Tatum, and Stephen Curry were in the final round.  Tatum went first.  He only got 17.  After that was Mike Conly.  Mike Conly got 27.  Finally Stephen Curry went.  He got a 28 and won the 3-point contest.  If Lillard was in it he would have won.

THE PORTLAND SHOT              Blazers vs Warriors By:Nate Smetana Photo from: Overtime Heroics      Yesterday the Blazers had a big game against the Warriors.  After the 1st quarter the Blazers were losing by one.  After the first half the Blazers were losing by two, 56-54.  The Blazers were kind of mediocre during the first half.  No one was really standing out.  They were doing a poor job of rebounding.  They needed to guard Curry better because he was getting a lot of lucky shots.       After the 3rd quarter the Blazers were winning 82-80.  Stephan Curry only had four points in the 3rd quarter.  GREAT DEFENSE PORTLAND!  Deep in the fourth quarter Lillard made an amazing 3-pointer and took a hard offensive foul which sealed the deal to beat the Warriors.  Curry left the court with his head shaking. Blazers had an amazing game! PLEASE FOLLOW MY BLOG!

After the first quarter the Blazers were losing by six.  After the first half the game was tied 59-59  The best player of the first half was Robert Covington with 16 points 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.  The best stat is he NEVER missed a shot.  After the end of the 3rd quarter the Blazers were winning by 9.  In the end the Blazers FINALLY ended their losing streak by winning by 12.   Hopefully this streak can continue against the BAD BAD Warriors.
