        PORTLAND SHOT                         Game vs Pelicans Photo from: CBS Sports By:  Nate Smetana Yesterday the Blazers had a jaw dropping game against the Pelicans.  This was McCollom's first game after his long injury.  For McCollom to be a necessary player, the Blazers had to win by two or more points, but they didn't. I am comparing this game to another game earlier in the season against the Pelicans.     THE PORTLAND SHOT       3-Point contetest photo from: DraftKings ation By: Nate Smetana The f irst player in the contest was Jaylen Brown.  He got 17 which is pretty bad.  Next was Jayson Tatum.  He ended with an AMAZING 25.  Next was Zach Lavine.  He got a decent 23.  After that was Mike Conly.  He got a really good 24.  Next was Donnavan Mithchell.  He almost got eliminated with 22.  After that was Steph the Chef.  He got a 31.  HE IS STILL NOT THAT GOOD.  Mike Conly, Jayson Tatum, and Stephen Curry were in the final round.  Tatum went first.  He only got 17.  After that was Mike Conly.  Mike Conly got 27.  Finally Stephen Curry went.  He got a 28 and won the 3-point contest.  If Lillard was in it he would have won.

   THE PORTLAND SHOT              Blazers vs Warriors By:Nate Smetana Photo from: Overtime Heroics      Yesterday the Blazers had a big game against the Warriors.  After the 1st quarter the Blazers were losing by one.  After the first half the Blazers were losing by two, 56-54.  The Blazers were kind of mediocre during the first half.  No one was really standing out.  They were doing a poor job of rebounding.  They needed to guard Curry better because he was getting a lot of lucky shots.       After the 3rd quarter the Blazers were winning 82-80.  Stephan Curry only had four points in the 3rd quarter.  GREAT DEFENSE PORTLAND!  Deep in the fourth quarter Lillard made an amazing 3-pointer and took a hard offensive foul which sealed the deal to beat the Warriors.  Curry left the court with his head shaking. After the first quarter the Blazers were losing by six.  After the first half the game was tied 59-59  The best player of the first half was Robert Covington with 16 points 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.  The best stat is he NEVER missed a shot.  After the end of the 3rd quarter the Blazers were winning by 9.  In the end the Blazers FINALLY ended their losing streak by winning by 12.   Hopefully this streak can continue against the BAD BAD Warriors.
